Community On The Alert
The Corofin parish and surrounding areas are not immune to petty crime and wanton vandalism and a big effort is being made at present to establish an effective community alert scheme for the locality. In order to have a scheme that works effectively it is necessary to recruit a network of people from all areas which are prepared to help out. A preliminary meeting to get a Community Alert Scheme established was held in Corofin recently and a follow-up meeting will take place at the Teach Ceoil in the village on Thursday night next November 7th to take the process a stage further. The meeting is scheduled for 9.00pm and the organisers are asking for all areas to be represented at the meeting.
