WALKING

Whatever your walking interests, Corofin offers you an extensive variety. For those who want a short stroll, the walk to Lake Inchiquin is a pleasant relaxing experience. The more adventurous may wish to take a trip to Mullaghmore and the Karst region that has inspired many an artist. And for a change of scenery there are many attractions such as Dromore Wood and Lough Atedaun for bird watching and fishing.

In relation to walking Corofin is a trailhead for the Burren Way national way-marked way. There are also two national loop walks in the Kilnaboy area, at Mullaghmore in the Burren National Park and nearby Lough Avalla Farm Walk. Another national loop walk can be found at the Dromore Nature Reserve in Ruan, 5 miles (7K) from Corofin.

Information on approved trails can be sourced on www.irishtrails.ie, www.shannonregiontrails.ie or the Burren National Park websites.
